Visiting our local church
We are very fortunate that our school is SO close to St Nicholas Church, Dereham. During Summer Term 2021 RE week, every class had a guided tour of inside the church and around the church grounds, led by Reverend Paul and Reverend James. During this visit we explored the different significant areas of the church, St Withburga’s Well and we even listened to Rev.Paul play the organ for us too! At the end of this academic year, we have an exciting trip up the bell tower booked too! Stay tuned for the bell tower photos to be uploaded soon…
A trip up the bell tower!
The children in Year 2 had a fantastic tour of St Nicholas’ Church Bell Tower, led by members of Dereham Bell Ringers. We walked up the 90+ steps and learnt that the tower is nearly 500 years old!
