Library visit
The children had a wonderful time visiting the library this afternoon. Together they explored the books and listened carefully to a story read by the librarian.
Children in Need
What a great day we all had raising money and celebrating Children in Need. The children came to school in spotty clothes, we all enjoyed a yummy Pudsey Bear cupcake and we even learnt a special Children in Need dance.
Owl Babies – Fine motor Cafe
Thank you to everyone who attended the Owl Babies fine motor cafe. The children had a wonderful time exploring all of the different activities and developing their fine motor skills.
Autumn 2 – Newsletter – Reception
Hello Yellow
Pearl class looked fabulous in their yellow accessories today to celebrate Hello Yellow. The children enjoyed sharing the story Colour Monster by Anna Lienas and discussing their feelings before creating their very own Colour Monster.
Science in Reception
As part of our Science learning the children in Reception are learning all about Autumn. This week the children enjoyed exploring the changing trees and investigating the different coloured leaves.
Ice cream party!
Well done Pearl class for reading 100 times at home! As a reward the children voted for an ice cream party. The children added their own sauce and sprinkles to make their ice cream unique. The children in Pearl class are now working towards a class disco as their next reading reward.
Drumming experience
The children in Reception had a fantastic time learning how to play the Djembe drum. The children followed the drumming teachers instructions carefully, playing the drum loudly and quietly.

My first day at DCINA
What a great start the Reception children have had at DCINA. The children have explored their new classrooms, learnt about each other and enjoyed singing songs and reading stories.
