Spring 2 RE week

During this RE week, year 2 have been learning all about the Jewish festival, Passover (Pesach). The children heard the story of Moses and discussed the significance of the events within the story. They responded to the story through art. The children then re-enacted a Passover meal and learnt all about the foods that would be on the Seder plate and what these items represent.


Spring spelling workshop

Thank you to all the adults who were able to attend our spelling workshop. The children all had great fun practicing their spellings in a variety of ways.


World book day!

We had such a fun day dressing up as some of our favourite story characters. Look at our fantastic costumes!


Reading comprehension workshop

Thank you to all that were able to attend the year 2 reading comprehension workshop. The children had a great time completing activities to develop their reading skills.


Spring 2 – WW2

The year 2 children have been very excited to be introduced to their History topic for Spring 2, World War 2. They have started their learning by finding out about The Blitz and what happened during this time. They responded to their learning by creating their own Blitz artwork. Look at the amazing art they achieved!

Glow jars

During Spring 1, year 2 children have slowly read the book ‘The dark’ by Lemony Snicket as part of their Power of Reading lessons. In the story, the main character is frightened of the dark so the year 2 children came up with a solution! They made their very own glow jars to help to see in the dark. Look how great they turned out!
