Trip to the Park
This morning we took a trip to a local park to celebrate our phonics learning this week. Some of our grown ups joined us for this celebration as well.
Science Workshop
This afternoon we took part in a Science Workshop with our grown ups. We had lots of fun being outside and looking for Science in our learning environment, we took part in activities such as bug hunting, bird watching, creating our own leaf man and inventing new insects.
Maths Workshop
This afternoon we took part in a maths workshop with our grown ups. We listened to a book that was linked to our maths learning, and then took part in activities that linked to our previously taught learning. We consolidated our knowledge of ordering numbers to 100, creating and reading arrays for multiplication as well as creating a yummy cake and puppet.
Phonics Morning
This morning we took part in lots of phonics activities to help us with our segmenting and blending for reading. We took part in lots of different activities, and some we have tried at home too!
Christmas 2021 in Sapphire Class
We have had a wonderful last week of school, with our Christmas dinner and creating Christmas crafts. Take a look at our fantastic snow storm pictures!
Our first school trip!
At the end of our first half term, we were very lucky to have gone on our first school trip! We went on the bus to Norwich and visited Dippy the Dinosaur at Norwich Cathedral. Then we walked through the city to St Peter Mancroft church, by The Forum, to visit the very magnificent Gaia.
We made a pie!
During this half term, we worked together as a team to create a very delicious blackberry and apple pie. Take a look at our wonderful creation!
Maths Learning
We have had a really busy first half term learning all about numbers within 10 and their place value.
Phonics Workshop
We would like to say a big thank you to all of the grown ups who were able to join us for our phonics workshop this half term. We all had a super fun time!
